#DecadeToDowning isn't a meaningless hashtag for Alexis & Taiyler.
These two attended Waynesville High School together. 
High school Sweethearts if you will.

The last week of their senior year, Alexis threw a party and a mutual friend and now Groomsman, Jeff brought Taiyler to the party and it was truly "Love at first sight"!
The two hung out constantly for the next few days until, as the Army would have it, Taiyler's family would PCS to Washington.
Taiyler left with his family on May 24th and stayed in contact with Alexis throughout the long drive. On May 25th (in the morning sometime) Taiyler called and asked Alexis how to get back to Waynesville. Alexis, thinking his family forgot something and needed to return looked up Mapquest directions and told him how to get back.

Once Taiy arrived back in Waynesville, he told Alexis that he had to leave his parents in Iowa because "It" was too good to be true. 
He knew Alexis was worth coming back for and on May 25th, 2009 Taiyler & Alexis' story began.

Here we are, 10 years later...
